Shami Bun Kabab Recipe


Shami Bun Kabab | Bun Kabab contains a spicy patty, which is shallow fried and is added chutney or raita in the bun along with onion, cucumber slices, and cabbage, additionally bun kabab also can be served with a fried egg or omelet known as anda Shami
Here I am making bun kabab with Shami kabab you can make with chana aloo dal patty if you are vegetarian or as a choice you can find out my chana dal aloo patty in my previous post
For further variation can be included tomato ketchup and mayonnaise or mayo garlic sauce for enhancing the taste of the bun
I have already shared ingredients of Shami bun kabab such as tomato ketchup, mayo garlic sauce, simple bun burger, and Shami kabab recipe whose I have given link above as well as you can use store-bought bun burger, ketchup,Kashmiri sauce, and mayo sauce it depends on your choice.

Shami bun kabab is one of the popular snack also known as street food on which easily access of every common man, it has cheap cost than another type of fast food burgers, easily available at vendor and roadside restaurant_This is my all-time hot favorite snack sometime I skipped my lunch and have it with hot tea however I am sharing this delicious and easy recipe with my dearest readers homemade Shami Bun Kabab Recipe with step by step photos..........

We need:


Preparation of Shami bun kababs:
To prepare this recipe first shallow fry Shami kababs, Heat the ghee in a frying pan and place Shami kababs, fry them from both sides until nicely golden brown in color.


Fry omelet: 
Beat the egg in a medium bowl and add salt along with black pepper powder, whisk well then heat the ghee in the same pan, pour the egg mixture to the medium hot ghee and cook from both sides till turns to nice golden brown color


Shift to the plate, now repeat the same process with remaining egg mixture...


Take out Kashmiri sauce into a small bowl then whisk the yogurt very well then stir to mix well with Kashmiri red sauce


Take all ingredients and prepare all veggies


Making shami bun kabab:
Cut the bun burgers into half and then heat the tawa/skillet or flat pan
Pour 1 tbsp ghee and spread it on the entire surface, heat them for 2 minutes then reduce the heat to very low, place the bun slices on tawa/pan and toast it for 1-2 minutes from both sides, transfer to any tray or plate..


    Spread red chutney on bun slices and place kabab on top then mash the kababs slightly with spoon and place omelet piece on top of kabab


    Start to now adding sauces, put onions and cucumber slices along with grated cabbage


    Press all bun stuffs slightly, further can be drizzled sauces over stuff, cover the shami bun kabab with another bun slice


    Now further, press the Shami bun kabab with hand 


    Transfer to the hot tawa and toast them from both sides over low heat to prevent burning 


    Shift to any tray and cut into half  and then shift to the serving plate


    Shami bun kabab is ready to serve hot with tea

    Shami bun kabab can be served with ketchup and sauce, additionally, you can serve bun kababs with french fries

    1. 4 pcs, Bun burgers
    2. 4 patties, Shami kababs
    3. As required, Kashmiri red sauce
    4. 1 large-sized, onion
    5. 1 medium-sized, cucumber
    6. 1/3 cup, chopped cabbage
    7. 2 tbsp, homemade yogurt
    8. As required, mayo garlic sauce
    9. Ghee, as needed
    10. As required, homemade ketchup
    11. 2 eggs, beaten
    How to make Shami kababs?
    1. Divide the bun slices into two portions
    2. First, two bun slices apply red sauce then place Shami kababs over them
    3. Slightly press kebabs with a spoon or spatula then put omelet slices on top of kebabs
    4. Spread mayo garlic sauce and then ketchup
    5. Now place onion and cucumber slices and grated cabbage then further drizzle Kashmiri red sauce
    6. Note, here you can use a green sauce 
    7. Cover the bun with another plain bun slice
    8. Heat the pan/skillet again on medium flame then reduce the flame to very low and place buns on it
    9. Toast bun kababs carefully from both sides on very low heat to prevent burn
    10. Transfer to the tray and cut into half and serve hot with tea
    11. Tasty Shami Bun Kabab is ready to serve
    12. Shami bun kabab can be served with ketchup and sauce, additionally, you can serve bun kababs with french fries
