Yellow rice is a super easy and simple mildly spiced yellow rice recipe, this is quite aromatic and flavored rice, for enhancing the taste of rice can be added chicken cubes if you don't have prepared stock in your fridge, quick and easy recipe best for lunch or dinner, This rice is usually served with meat and veggie curries raita, salad, This flavorful and generously spiced Dominican-style yellow rice recipe
I cooked yellow rice with ponia rice by adding homemade chicken stock you can prepare with long grain basmati rice as well

In this recipe, you can even variations by adding peas, beans, and carrots, or if you are non-vegetarian then can be added boiled egg or boiled chicken meat, very tasty and simple rice that can be prepared within 30 minutes
rice, tomato, and seasonings are the main ingredients in this recipe so let's begin
Tips:
- To prepare this yellow rice can be added vegetables, chicken, and eggs for enhancing the taste
- Slightly fry or blanch veggies before adding them to the rice
- Basmati rice is ideal for making this recipe
- Always use a large capacity pot for cooking rice
- Adding white vinegar during cooking rice is the best tip to prevent sticking or broken rice each other
Firstly thoroughly rinse the rice under the running water then
soak in the water for at least 2 hours set aside_Take all ingredients and prepare all veggies
Pour oil into the large-sized pot and heat it then put onion slices, saute the onion slices for 4-5 minutes on medium flame
Put tomatoes and garam masala to the fried onions, and cook the masala for 5 minutes on medium heat till turns soft
Reduce the heat to low then start adding spices to the fried onion, splash some water to the masala keep on stirring by adding masala on low heat
Add food color then roast masala by splashing water on low-medium heat, at this stage you can add vegetables, and boiled chicken as desired, now pour half stock (yakhni)half reserve for later
Then put green chilies along with coriander leaves into the onion masala, bring it to boil, turn the flame to low and add soaked and drained rice to the masala, and stir to combine well for 2-3 minutes
Now add the remaining chicken stock to the rice and bring it to a boil and then cover the lid
Cook the rice for around 4-5 minutes on the high-medium flame until the water is evaporated, reduce the heat to low, and allow to simmer it further 5 minutes on very low heat
Transfer to the serving plate/dish now simple yellow rice is ready to serve...
Yellow rice is served with kabob, veggie raita, and another gravy-based meat curry
This is a flavorful and generously spiced Dominican-style yellow rice recipe, try once this simple and tasty rice
Ingredients:
- 3 cups, rice soaked
- 1 medium, onion
- 1 tsp, white vinegar
- 2 medium-sized, peeled tomatoes or tomato puree
- 3-4, green chilies
- 1 tsp, green chili paste
- 1 tsp, ginger garlic paste
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp, coriander leaves
- 3 pinches, lemon food color
- ½ tsp, turmeric powder
- 1 tsp, coriander seeds crushed
- 1 tsp, red chili powder
- 100ml,oil
- ½ tsp, garam masala
- 1/3 tsp, cumin seeds
- 1/3 tsp, black peppercorn
- 2 pods, green cardamoms
- 1 pcs, bay leaf
- ½ inch, cinnamon stick
- ¼ piece, star anise
- 2, cloves
- 3 cups, of homemade stock
- 100ml, cooking oil
How to make Plain Yellow Rice?
- Heat the oil in a large-sized pot and put onion slices
- Sauté them for 5 minutes on medium flame or till turn golden brown
- Then add tomatoes wedges or puree, bay leaf, green cardamoms, cumin seeds, cloves, star anise, and cinnamon stick
- Fry them well for 2-3 minutes on low-medium flame
- Then add ginger garlic paste and green chili paste and keep on mixing until the tomatoes are soft
- Now add powdered spices red chili, turmeric powder crushed coriander seeds,garam masala, and salt along with food color
- Splash some water on the masala to prevent a burn from base
- During roasting masala keep the flame low
- Now pour half the quantity of chicken stock and bring it to a boil then add chopped coriander leaves along with green chilies
- After boiling reduce the flame to low then put soaked and drained rice
- Stir to well combine at this stage adjust salt and pour remaining chicken stock further bring to a boil and add white vinegar at this stage
- Note, that white vinegar preventing from broken rice grains
- Cover the lid until the water has evaporated turn the flame to low
- And further, allow simmering it around 5 minutes on a very low flame
- Remove from flame and let it a bit cool down
- Then transfer to the serving plate/tray
- Easy and quick tasty yellow rice is done to serve
- Note: stock will be used as a place of water because should be an equal quantity of water and stock
- In case you have less quantity of stock so can be added water for making an equal quantity
- To understand, you are cooking 4 cups enough soaked rice then you will be required 4 cups of water or stock
- But if you have 4 cups rice and 2 ½ cups stock then you will add 1 ½ cup water
- On the other hand, if your rice isn’t soaked enough then for 1 cup of rice 1 ½ cup of water or stock to be added
