Pav bread Kabab | Pav Kabab || How to make pav bread kebab with step by step photos....

Pav bread kabab is basically it is known as a street food snack, delicious and craving snack which is fond of eating especially in Karachi so cheap price everyone can buy easily at the time of inflation, very tasty and delicious,is served with tangy and spicy sauce, additionally, you can only even make aloo dal kebab with sauce and can be served with paratha and rotis as well....

I have shared green sauce already now sharing the complete pav bread kebab sauce recipe, which will be step by step with pictures

Preparation of Dal Aloo Kabab:
  1. Firstly properly wash and soak the chana dal in the hot water for 2 hours set aside     
  2. Peel and cut the potatoes and put in the water so that it couldn’t be black
  3. Peel and chop the garlic in half
  4. Chop the ginger into slices
  5. Whisk the egg very well to add some salt and crushed black pepper until fluffy set-aside
  6. Chop the coriander and green chillies

In the pot add soaked chana dal with spices,Mix them together well, then add little water if needed

                             


Bring it to boil and cover the lid, let it cook till half-done over medium flame




Then add potatoes, stir them well, allow to cook another 10-15 minutes to cover the lid over low-medium heat. Once the water evaporated from the dal aloo mixture. Turn off the flame, and let it cool down.Meanwhile, start preparation of pav bread dough


Sift the flour and baking powder in the medium bowl, then add yeast and sugar in the flour, mix them 
                           


Add salt and milk powder, mix them again, Now crack the egg and mix it with the spatula, until turns to crumble texture

Start kneading the dough with warm water till turns to soft dough turn onto the working surface, keep kneading first for 10 minutes




Then put butter/margarine over dough, give it to another 5 minutes more to get a soft and elastic dough, place the dough in a greased bowl by covering the lid for resting about 3-4 hours, If needed can apply some oil over dough. keep it  in a warm place for rising dough properly

In the food processor, machine put dal aloo mixture together, then
 ground them till turns fine paste_Knead the kabab dough for a minute and then adjust the salt if needed, add chopped coriander and green chillies mix well 


Make the equal sized balls of the kabab dough, flatten one ball between your palm, give it to shape into the medium kebabs
keep in the fridge....




After passing 4 hours you will see the dough has enough risen, take the dough out and punch it down for 2-3 minutes


Divide the small equal portion of For the dough, I made 8 equal small balls from 2 cups of flour, shape into a small ball

Place the balls in the 10*10 square non-stick baking pan
Note: if you have a rectangular shape baking pan you can this even use for baking pav bread.
Now cover the dough balls from the kitchen towel, rest it again for 30 minutes until double in size, meanwhile turn on the oven at 250 C for half-hour

After rising the dough apply some milk and egg wash over dough balls, then Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes at 200c

Meantime heat the oil in frying pan,dip the kebab into the egg batter

And slide it in the frying pan, which can be fried 3-4 kebabs at a time, fry each side for 2-3 minutes, Flip the kebab and fry the other side until you get nice golden brown colour,place all kebabs on the pepper kitchen towel to remove excessive oil from them

After bake the pav remove from the pan to wires rack to cool down, soft and spongy pav bread is ready to serve with kebab and sauce
Note: during baking, I found an error in the oven that's why could not come golden brown colour but you take out when the colour becomes the nice golden brown colour of pav bread




Place fresh pav bread with kebab and sauce in the serving plate, can be served with ketchup and French fries as well

  3. 10-12, whole red chillies
  4. Salt to taste
  5. 1 tsp, black peppercorn
  6. 1 tbsp, ginger
  7. 1 tsp, garlic
  8. 1 tsp, whole coriander seeds
  9. 1 tsp, cumin seeds
  10. 1 inch, cinnamon stick
  11. 2, cloves
  12. 1, green cardamom
  13. 1 large egg 
  14. 1 tbsp, coriander and green chillies optional
Ingredients of pav bread dough:
  1. 2 cups, all-purpose flour
  2. ¼, cup, milk powder
  3. 4 tbsp or 100g, margarine/butter melted at room temperature
  4. 1 tbsp, sugar
  5. 1 large, egg
  6. Warm water, as required for kneading
  7. ½ tsp, salt
  8. 1 tsp, instant yeast
  9. ½ tsp, baking soda
  10. Pav bread sauce, as needed
