Baked
Spring Rolls | Spring Rolls || How to make Baked Spring Rolls with step-by-step photos
Baked Spring Rolls are quite delicious and
mouth-watering baked spring rolls made with dough, chicken, and veggie mixtures, Typically, spring rolls are
prepared with a manda sheet and then deep-fried them
But here I made the spring rolls in the oven without using a manda sheet or
frying method. these are not deep-fried at all rather they are baked instead of
frying the wholesome spring rolls with fewer calories
These are perfect as a tea snack or for a weekend
brunch, they can be served for dinner to accompany a bowl of delicious soup or
noodles
I prepared these rolls by using pizza dough and the same fillings as the spring rolls_you can use a samosa sheet by applying some oil over the rolls before putting them in the oven
This is another version of spring rolls for those who
can’t eat fried rolls due to health issues although I didn’t use a Manda sheet in
making rolls here you can make them by applying some oil over the rolls and baking them in
the oven for around 25-30 minutes at 200C
To make these rolls I used pizza dough by doing some
variations as a pastry dough to bring some crispiness to the rolls since we
are not using a manda sheet which is the main ingredient of the recipe.
Secondly, I did another experiment of baking in the patella
honestly speaking I never used this method in my baking experience but somehow I did to see the result and also show you my experiment_From this first experiment of baking in patella one thing I got is that time duration is so different from the oven and patella
Normally I have been seeing and hearing that the same result
and time can be gotten using both methods but in my opinion, it is tantamount to deceiving
the people as I put the rolls at the same time in the patella and oven after 30
minutes my rolls are ready while baking in patella took more than an hour_As well as the result wasn’t the same as
compared to the oven’s rolls you see for yourself in the picture below
This should be stopped this propaganda I am not saying patella baking has failed yes it works but it is wrong to say the result will be the same in the oven anyhow here, I would like to end my further talk over it my aim is to just show the reality by doing my own practical work
If anybody doesn’t oven they can use patella as the baking method this is a compulsion to them but if Allah has blessed you with the facility then you should use it by being grateful to Allah
Recipe notes:
- If you are using a samosa wrapper in making baked spring rolls then have to follow these rules
- Brush some oils over the rolls before baking
- Bake the spring rolls on a wire rack so that air can circulate around all sides of the rolls. Cripsy all the way around!
- The oven temp should be 200c
- All the above precautions are for Manda Patti's roll
- As per following my recipe no need to use these precautions
- They will bake like bread rolls
For the best result follow my detailed step-by-step photo instructions and tips

both dough balls this way
Place
them into a ziplock bag separately and refrigerate them for around an hour to

Dust the
flour on the working surface and place the dough.
Roll it
out about 8-10 inches in a rectangular or square shape, Spread the
filling near the bottom corner of the rolled dough, Fold-up the bottom corner
around the filling, and Give it to just 2 folding
Then
separate the folding roll with the help of a pizza cutter
And cut into equal desirable sizes. Place on the lined baking sheet
Now take
other dough and repeat the same process as before
Make
slightly cut near the fillings with the help of a pizza cutter, And roll
it once
Now
separate it and cut it into equal sizes
Place all
prepared rolls on the tray
Cover
with a kitchen napkin and leave them to rise again for around 30 minutes, With the remaining dough and mixture, I just did an experiment and shaped them into a bun shape and will bake them in patella after proofing
Preheat the oven to 200C besides place the patella on the stove on medium flame
After 30 minutes
whisk the egg yolk with milk and brush the rolls
Bake them in the
middle rack of the oven for around 25-30 minutes or until golden brown color
Brush the patella
buns and put them in the patella for around an hour. First, bake them on
a high flame for 5-10 minutes then reduce the flame
Bake them on a medium-low flame for around 45-50 minutes or until brown on top
Once spring rolls
are baked take them out from the oven and patella. Place them on the
cool wire rack
