Beef Haleem|Daleem (haleem)is a stew composed of meat, lentil, and pounded wheat made into a thick paste. It originated as an Arabic dish and was introduced to the Hyderabad state (India) by the Arab Diaspora during the Nizam of Hyderabad's rule.
The preparation of daleem has become an art form, though daleem is a traditional dish that is usually cooked and consumed at Islamic months during Muharram ul Haram and Ramadan additionally at others special occasion too

This dish gives instant energy is high in calories,daleem is mainly the combination of lentils, barley, wheat, meat with certain spices that are slow-cooked for 4-5 hours which results in a paste-like consistency blending the flavors of spices, meat and lentils, barley and wheat.some people a small amount of rice also add in it but I didn’t
Haleem as  a sold a snack food in bazaars, restaurant, stalls  throughout the year
I am giving below the list of daleem dal measurement that I have used to make but you can bring readymade mixed daleem daal from any grocery store otherwise you can make it yourself total weight of dal 500 grams in which should be big quantity barley, wheat, and chickpeas the rest lentils are in half quantities

Recipe tips:
  1. Avoid blend dal as a smooth paste otherwise traditional and real taste of daleem will be spoiled
  2. Just blend 2-3 minutes
  3. As well as don’t blend meat with dal (lentils)
  4. First mash/shred the meat then add  and mix with the hand masher
  5. Don’t fry the onion for preparing korma
  6. We don’t require any thick gravy in this recipe
  7. Just tempering by fried onion at the end as we add in the dal  

Preparation of daleem:
First, thoroughly wash and soak the all Dals in the hot water for 4 hours


Peel and cut onions into thin slices along with ground the fresh ginger garlic paste set aside


Boil the water in the saucepan, take all ingredients and prepare all veggies


Whisk the yogurt keep aside




    Boil the lentils:
    Take a large capacity pot put all lentils along with cracked wheat and barley with its own water, bring it to a boil and remove all scums on top of the surface, cook it over low-medium heat to cover the lid


    Cook them until lentils are soft   


    How to Prepare Daleem Korma?
    In the pressure cooker heat, the ghee put beef with bones in the cooker


    Fry them until changes color and then add ginger garlic paste, put papaya cubes and homemade daleem masala to the meat


    Stir to combine well with meat and adjust the spices at this stage to taste
    i added more spice powder according to my taste, you can even do to taste, now add beaten yogurt and mix well


    Keep stirring until oil is separated then add 100 ml water, bring it to boil and cover the lid until meat is tender


    Daleem korma is ready now separate all meat from gravy and discard all bones then keep aside


    Blend Mixed Daleem Dals:
    Blend all lentils with the help of hand blender for 2 minutes, then transfer to the separate pot, now add korma gravy and stir to mix well further cook it for a while over medium heat_keep stirring occasionally to prevent the stick from base 


    Mash or shred the Beef Meat:
    Meanwhile, mash the meat with hand masher then add to the blended dal then stir to combine well, keep mixing by adding mashed meat


    Fry the onion For Tempering:
    Heat the ghee in the frying pan  then put onion slices, fry the onion till turns to golden brown in color


    Put all fried onion with ghee to the daleem, mix them well and cover the lid_Let it simmers around an hour over low heat keep stirring occasionally  


    Daleem is done, now you can see its consistency in the below picture, now turn off the flame


      Transfer to the serving dish and garnish with coriander leaves, lemon wedges, and grated ginger and serve hot with naan and chapatis
      Sering tips:
      Serve hot with the Naan, tandoori rotis and bread slices
      The more  you want to serve at one time that much microwave or heat up 
      Avoid heat up all daleem together before each serving otherwise it gets dry and tasteless


      How to make the recipe?

      Main Ingredients Of daleem:
      1. 100g, barley crushed
      2. 100g, chana dal (chickpeas)
      3. 100g, wheat crushed
      4. 75g, mash dal white
      5. 65g, masoor dal
      6. 65g, moong dal
      7. 400g, a large piece of meat with fat
      8. 150g, bones  
      9. 2 large, onion
      10. 3 tbsp leveled, homemade haleem masala or to taste
      11. 2 tbsp, ginger garlic paste
      12. 150g, homemade yogurt
      13. 150g, ghee/clarified ghee 
      14. 2 cubes, papaya paste or meat tenderizer 
       For garnishing:
      1. 1 bunch, fresh coriander leaves
      2. 8-10,green chillies
      3. 1 cup, homemade fried brown onion
      4. 2 tbsp, ginger
      5. 3, large lemon
      6. As desired, homemade chat masala 
      1. Put beef meat with bones in the large capacity pressure cooker/pot
      2. Fry them till turns to change its color
      3. Then add ginger garlic paste further fry them until aroma arose
      4. Now add papaya cubes along with homemade daleem masala to the meat mix them well
      5. It’s time to add yogurt to the daleem korma
      6. Keep stirring over low-medium heat until oil separates
      7. Now add hot and boiled water
      8. Bring it to boil and close the pressure cooker lid
      9. Cook it 20-25 minutes after whistling of pressure cooker
      10. Note: I used a pressure cooker but if you don’t want to use you can use any simple vessel instead of cooker
      11. After the boil, the dal blend them with the help of hand blender
      12. If you haven’t hand blender you can use grinder jug or hand masher as well
      13. I used the hand blender to blend dal 
      14. After cooking the beef korma do separate the gravy and meat
      15. Discard the bones
      16. Mash or shred the meat from the help of hand masher
      17. Set aside
      18. Take a separate mixing large pot
      19. Put blended dal in the pot and then add korma gravy
      20. Stir to well combine over low-medium heat
      21. Add the shredded/mashed meat mix well together with the help of masher until well combined
      22. Add ghee in the frying pan and heat it well
      23. Add onion slices and fry them till turns to golden brown color
      24. Put fried onion with ghee in cooked daleem stir well
      25. Let it simmer and cook slowly at least an hour
      26. Keep stirring occasionally to prevent the stick from base
      27. Now beef daleem is done
      28. Garnish with the lemon, fried onion and ginger slices along with green chilies and fresh coriander
