Gobi Gosht is made with an easy method. Gosht is an Urdu word for 'meat' or 'flesh' and in Pakistan, this would quite likely be made with Mutton or Beef, this curry is a tasty side dish prepared with cauliflower, potato chicken, and some essential spices which give it to a delicious and aromatic taste to serve as a side dish for roti or rice

I never used it as a side dish to this recipe this is always been the main course on my table, but most Pakistani kitchens people love to serve or have more than 2-3 dishes on their tables which this dish is called a side dish

Mainly I am a simple and a bit lazy person by nature, so usually, I cook only one dish for lunch or dinner along with some starters such as soup, salad, etc, This actually depends on my mood and time, sometimes I have to drop the starter just make simple one dish with Rotis or rice :) is enough for our dinner or lunch I prepared with chicken you can use any type of meat

An easy, wholesome recipe with simple ingredients, Adding cauliflower potato, and chicken combination makes a unique taste and flavor to the dish, good combination with chicken just try and enjoy it as a side dish for rice and rotis, So let the go-ahead to know how to make gobi aloo gosht

    Firstly properly rinse and clean the chicken under the running water, Rinse and cut the cauliflower into medium  florets, and immerse in a little salty water for 15 minutes 


    Prepare all the rest of the veggies

    Lightly dry roast cumin seeds and crush them 

    Boil the water in the saucepan


      Take a pan and heat the oil then put all vegetables in the pan and lightly fry over low-medium heat for 5 minutes, set aside until required


      Pour oil into the pot heat it and put onion slices, Saute onion for 5 minutes over medium-high heat then add chicken pieces and fry well


      Add ginger-garlic paste, keep stirring until a fresh aroma arises, and add tomatoes and all dried spice powder to the chicken 


      Keep stirring by adding remaining spices and yogurt, stir well, and cover the lid for 10 minutes over medium-low heat


      After 10 minutes remove the lid and stir again, put fried vegetables, basic garam masala, and chopped ginger


      Stir to combine well with curry and then add 1/2 cup boiled and hot water, let them cook another for 10 minutes on medium-low heat, sprinkle coriander leaves, and simmer it for about 10 minutes further over very low heat


      Transfer to the serving dish Gobi aloo chicken is ready to serve


      This can be hot served with rotisrice, and naan along with salad and raita

      1. 500g, cauliflower
      2. 2 medium, onion
      3. 300g, chicken with bones
      4. Salt to taste
      5. 2 tbsp, homemade yogurt
      6. 1 tbsp, coriander powder
      7. 1 tsp, red chili powder
      8. ½ tsp, turmeric powder
      9. ½ tsp, Kashmiri red chili powder
      10. 4-6, green chilies
      11. 1 tsp, cumin seeds
      12. 1 tbsp, ginger
      13. 2 tsp, ginger garlic paste
      14. 1 tsphomemade basic garam masala
      15. 1 tbsp, coriander leaves 
      How to Make Gobi Gosht?
      1. Take a frying pan pour some oil and lightly fry gobi aloo mirch for 5 minutes over medium heat
      2. Until comes, light brown color over them keep aside
      3. Take another pot heat the oil then put in onions and sauté it for 4-5 minutes over medium heat
      4. Put washed chicken pieces and fry them till turn to change their color
      5. Keep frying by adding ginger garlic paste
      6. Now combine all spices like tomato, red chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, roasted cumin seeds, salt, and yogurt
      7. Keep stirring constantly until the oil is separated from the edges
      8. Cover the lid and let them cook for 10 minutes over low-medium heat
      9. Note: Don’t add water it will be tender with onion, yogurt, and tomato water, but if you are using beef or mutton then add water and cook till 80% 
      10. 20% will be tender with veggies 
      11. After 10 minutes remove the lid then put the fried veggies into the roasted meat
      12. Then add basic garam masala and chopped ginger mixed well with curry 
      13. Now add boiled and hot water to the gobi curry
      14. Allow cooking another 10-15 minutes over low-medium heat
      15. At the end sprinkle coriander leaves and simmer it for 10 minutes
      16. Now your gobi aloo gosht is done to serve
      17. Transfer to the serving dish/bowl
