But I would like to clear the confusion once in for all with this post on cheese potato balls. As a matter of fact, the bread slices help to absorb moisture and also not break while frying. this should hold well for most of the bread snack recipes. I get a lot of queries regarding the same and I thought of clearing the confusion with this post.
In addition, I would like to add a few tips, suggestions, and variations for the potato cheese balls recipe. firstly, I have used breadcrumbs to give a crispy outer coating, you can alternatively use crushed cornflakes or semolina. also, the bread slices can be replaced with breadcrumbs to absorb excess moisture from potatoes. furthermore, stuff the cheese cube well to prevent cheese from melting; as a safety precaution, freeze for 30 minutes before frying.

- 500g, potatoes peeled and grated/mashed
- 1 tbsp, black peppercorn freshly crushed
- ½ tsp, mustard paste
- 2 pieces, of bread slices soaked and squeezed well
- 1/4 tsp, oregano
- 1/3 tsp, dried parsley
- 150g, mozzarella cheese bar cut into cube shapes
- ½ tsp, white pepper freshly crushed
- 1 tsp, paprika powder
- Salt to taste
For Coating:
- 1 cup, of breadcrumbs
- 1 large, egg beaten
- ½ liter, of cooking oil for deep frying
How to make a Potato Cheese Ball?
- In a saucepan pour 300 ml water and place on the stove bring it to a boil then add peeled potatoes
- Cover the lid and let it cook for 15-20 minutes until cooks well
- Drain them out from the water and let it a bit cool then grate/mash all potatoes and keep aside
