Chicken Masala Curry is a traditional flavored thick gravy chicken curry dish, is prepared with onion, and spiced yogurt along with some basic seasoning, an additional ingredient is fresh lemon juice, and a squeeze of lime makes everything better, a tang spicy chicken dish prepared for a dinner party or casually at home, it is different yet super quick and easy chicken, It takes less than an hour to cook

Take all ingredients of curry and prepare all veggies along with rinsing chicken pieces to keep aside until required

Whisk the yogurt in a plate/bowl then add garam masala and red chili flakes and stir to combine well set aside

In a mixing large-sized bowl marinate the chicken pieces with the ginger-garlic lemon juice and spices

Mix them for 10 minutes until chicken is well coated with all spices, keep in the refrigerator for 30 minutes

On the other hand heat, the oil in a large-sized pot on medium flame and put all whole spices

Allow to crackle them in the oil right after adding the onion

Sauté the onion with whole spices on medium flame till turns translucent

Put marinated chicken pieces into the pot, mix well on high-medium flame till everything is incorporated then add grated ginger

Constantly keep stirring by adding spiced yogurt to the chicken

Once the chicken is well roasted with the yogurt and spices pour 1 cup of hot and boiled water, and stir to mix well
Bring it to a boil, cover the lid, and allow to cook for 10 minutes further on medium flame, reduce the heat and simmer the chicken masala curry for 2-3 minutes

Ingredients:
  1. 500g, chicken with bones
  2. 1 cup, onion finely chopped
  3. ½ cup, of homemade yogurt
  4. 1 tbsp, ginger garlic paste freshly ground
  5. 1 large-sized, lemon freshly squeezed
  6. 1 tbsp, green chilies coarsely chopped
  7. 1 tbsp, crushed coriander seeds
  8. Salt to taste
  9. 1 ½, Kashmiri red chili powder
  10. ½ tsp, regular red chili powder
  11. ½ tsp, turmeric powder
  12. 1 tsp,basic garam masala
  13. 1 tsp, red chili flakes
  14. 1 cup, canola oil/olive oil
  15. 1 tsp, grated ginger
Whole Spices:
  1. ¼ tsp, black peppercorn
  2. 1 tsp, cumin seeds
  3. 2 pcs, bay leaves
  4. 2-3, green cardamom
  5. 2-3, cloves
  6. 1 pod, of brown cardamom
  7. 1-inch, cinnamon stick
  8. 1-2 cups, of water hot and boiled
How to Make Chicken Curry?
  1. In a mixing large-sized bowl marinate the chicken pieces with the ginger garlic paste, lemon, red chili powder, turmeric powder, salt, crushed coriander, green chilies, and Kashmiri red chili powder
  2. Mix them for 10 minutes until the chicken is well coated with all spices
  3. Keep in the refrigerator for 30 minutes
  4. On the other hand, heat the oil in a large-sized pot on a medium flame
  5. Put all whole spices brown cardamom, bay leaves, cumin, green cardamom, cloves,, cinnamon stick, and black peppercorn

  11. Bring it to a boil, cover the lid, and allow to cook for 10 minutes further on medium flame
  12. Reduce the heat and simmer the chicken masala curry for 2-3 minutes
  13. Transfer to the serving dish, tasty chicken masala curry is ready
  14. Serve hot with ricenaanand chapatis
