Katori Kheer | Rice Kheer | How to Make Chawal Ki Kheer Recipe with step-by-step photos
Kheer is a thick, delicious, flavored sweet rice kheer, it
is quite a simple rice kheer made with milk, rice, khoya, and dry fruits, mainly
rice kheer is literally tasty and sweet but when this is served with clay
Katori
Its taste becomes more delicious, One of the most favorite Pakistani desserts rice kheer can be made
quickly and easily with just a few ingredients. Kheer is indeed the perfect
dish to celebrate a festival or just prepare as dessert at home after a
hearty dinner

This delightful Dessert recipe of Katori Kheer can be ready in
approximately 40 minutes and is good to serve around 4-6 People. Follow all the
steps to get a perfect dish. so let’s begin
To prepare this recipe first rinse and soak the rice in
warm water for an hour
Meantime boil the milk in the pot or pan and keep it aside
Chop and crush the almonds and pistachio
Crush the green cardamom in a mortar
Wash the clay katories under running water and keep them aside
Coarsely crush the soaked rice in a food processor or mortar
Shift the boiled milk into a large-sized deep pot and place it on the stove_Add crushed green cardamom to the milk and mix up well
Bring it to boil first on high heat then turn down the flame
to low-medium_Allow to cook milk for around 30 minutes_Occasionally keep stirring
Once the milk is reduced to a quarter add crushed the soaked
rice into the milk along with 1 cup water_ Turn up the flame to medium-high then constantly keep on stirring
Once the rice is fully cooked
Then add sugar to the milk_Keep mixing on a low-medium flame
Now add khoya to the milk_Keep mixing until everything is incorporated
Reduce the heat to low and give it another 10-12 minutes
till kheer turns to thicken
Towards the end add chopped almonds, pistachio, and kewra
water to the kheer
Further stir to well combine for 2 minutes_Rice kheer is ready_Let it is a bit cool down
Now fill the clay katories with 1 to 2 spoons of rice kheer
Garnish with crushed dry fruits
Sprinkle dry fruits over each Katori
Keep in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours
Now kheer is ready

- 1.25 liter, fresh milk
- 150g, basmati rice soaked and crushed
- 150g, khoya
- 200g, sugar or to taste
- 3-4 pods, of green cardamom crushed
- 1 ½ tbsp, almonds chopped
- 1 ½ tbsp, pistachio chopped
- 3-4 drops, kewra water
For Garnishing:
- Crushed almond and pistachio
- Clay katories as required
How to Make Kheer Recipe?
- Shift the boiled milk into a large-sized deep pot and place it on the stove
- Add crushed green cardamom to the milk and mix up well
- Bring it to boil first on high heat then turn down the flame to low-medium
- Allow cooking milk for around 30 minutes
- Occasionally keep stirring
- Once the milk is reduced to a quarter add crushed soaked rice into the milk along with 1 cup of water
- Turn up the flame to medium-high then constantly keep on stirring
- Don’t leave it unattended to prevent the burn from the bottom
- Once the rice is fully cooked then add sugar to the milk
- Keep mixing on a low-medium flame
- Now add khoya to the milk
- Keep mixing until everything is incorporated
- Reduce the heat to low and give it another 10-12 minutes till kheer turns to thicken
- Towards the end add chopped almonds, pistachio, and kewra water to the kheer
