Tasty Chicken Curry | Slow Cooker Chicken Curry | How to Make Chicken Curry with step by step photos 

Chicken Curry is an aromatic, flavored thick gravy curry, that is prepared with onion, yogurt, and spices along with using a special secret masala which enhances the taste of curry, you can prepare the same recipe with mutton, beef, or lamb
This curry is my own version, it can be said my own family recipe my mother often used to cook it at sehri with paratha, or paki pakai roti/naan which is available at stores/bakeries during Ramadan in Pakistan

It is prepared with a few spices but three secret ingredients are used in it dry roasted cumin, coriander, and black peppercorn which gives it to unique and delicious taste to other traditional chicken curries, This dish goes well with flavored rice, chapatis, and paratha. so let's begin

To prepare this recipe first rinse the chicken very well under the running water

Dry roast coriander, black peppercorn, and cumin seeds together for a minute on medium flame

Crush them in the mortar or in a grinder jar

In a separate mixing bowl put chicken with all spices, mix them very well and keep aside for marination for about 10 minutes

Meanwhile, heat the oil in the pan, then add onions and sauté it for 2 minutes or till it turns translucent

Then add marinated chicken to the pot, Stir to mix well on medium flame until oil is separated




Add ground and roasted spices, further stir to combine well for 2 minutes, then add 100ml hot boiled water bring to a boil then cover the lid, and allow to cook another 10 minutes on low-medium flame




Remove the lid and further stir the chicken slightly then simmer it for 5 minutes on very low flame, garnish it with coriander leaves and green chilies



Now quick and easy chicken curry is ready to serve with chapati,rumali roti paratha, and naan

Ingredients:
  1. 500g, chicken with bones
  2. 1/3 cup, onion finely chopped
  3. 50g, beaten yogurt
  4. 1 tsp, red chili powder
  5. ½ tsp, turmeric powder
  6. 1 tsp, cumin seed  dry roasted and crushed
  7. ½ tsp, black peppercorn dry roasted and crushed
  8. 1 tsp, coriander seeds dry roasted and crushed
  9. 1 tbsp, ginger garlic paste
  10. 100ml, cooking oil
  11. Salt to taste      
How to Make Chicken Curry?
  1. In a separate mixing bowl put chicken, ginger garlic paste, salt, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and yogurt
  2. Mix them very well and keep them aside for marination for about 10 minutes
  3. Meanwhile, heat the oil in the pan, then add onions and sauté it for 2 minutes or till it turns translucent 
  4. Then add marinated chicken to the pot 
  5. Stir to mix well on medium flame until oil is separated
  6. Now add ground and roasted spices 
  7. Further, stir to combine well for 2 minutes
  8. Then add 100ml hot boiled water bring to a boil then cover the lid
  9. Allow to cook another 10 minutes on low-medium flame
  10. Remove the lid and further stir thicken slightly 
  11. Simmer it for 5 minutes on a very low flame
  12. Now quick and easy chicken curry is ready to serve with chapati,rumali roti paratha, and naan
