There are numerous curry powder recipes with a wide variety of ingredients, Curry powders that are made at home are often created from a list of spices for ingredients that have a taste desired by the person creating the powder. Curries made with powder are used to season poultry, lamb, beef, chicken, mutton, and a variety of vegetables such as peas, cauliflower, onions, and potatoes. What is curry powder?
Curry powder is a spice mix that is used widely in Pakistani cooking.
Spice blends have been prominent in cooking for ages. and while it’s easy for Westerners to think of “curry” as a dish or spice with one characteristic flavor, at its most basic, curry powder is simply a mixture of spices.
You won’t find a single “curry powder” in Pakistan. Rather, you’ll find many varieties of curry powders depending on what dish you are looking to make.

Heat the skillet/pan and dry roast whole spices one by one, first dry roast chana dal and bay leaf together on low heat for 2-3 minutes

Dry roast red whole chilies, cinnamon stick, cloves, and green and black cardamoms on low flame for 2 minutes until aroma arises

Now dry roast coriander seeds and peppercorn and dry roast them on low flame for 2 minutes

At the end dry roast cumin and fennel seeds along with dry turmeric on low flame for a minute

Place all roasted and dried whole spices on the plate

Put in the grinder jar the roasted whole spices

Grind them together in the grinding jar till turn into a fine powder

Transfer to the bowl or plate and mix powdered spices with roasted ground spices

Stir to combine well until everything is incorporated

  1. 10-12 pcs, dry red chili
  2. 2 pods, black cardamom
  3. 2 pods, green cardamom
  4. 1 tbsp, Bengal gram
  5. 1-2 pcs, bay leaves
  6. 10, cloves
  7. 2 inch, cinnamon stick
  8. 3 tbsp, cumin seeds
  9. 3 tbsp, coriander seeds
  10. 1 tbsp, fennel
  11. 1 tbsp, black peppercorn
  12. 1 tsp, dry turmeric
Powder Spices:
  1. 1 tbsp, Kashmiri red chili powder
  2. 1 tsp, salt
  3. 1 tsp, ginger powder
  4. 2-3 pinches, citric acid optional 
How to Make Curry Spices Recipe?
  1. Heat the skillet/pan and dry roast whole spices one by one

  8. Put in the grinder jar the roasted whole spices
  9. Grind them together in the grinding jar till turn into a fine powder
