Russian Salad is known as Oliver salad in Russia. It has many variations to it. In its most basic form, it is diced potatoes and cooked vegetables and fruits. mixed in Mayonnaise and cream. The vegetables are usually diced carrots and green peas, often canned or frozen.

Chopped meat is sometimes added. Any other root vegetables are usually diced. Beyond that, all bets are off, and anything can be put in. Classically, the salad "is put into a domed mold lined with jelly and decorated. After having been well chilled on ice, Then it is served on any occasion, events in Pakistan/India than casual cooking

The flavor and texture of the Russian Salad is quite different from the standard salads, as it uses parboiled veggies rather than raw ones, but here I didn’t cook carrot I love raw carrot than cooked, but if you want to cook

Take all ingredients and prepare them all

In a mixing bowl put mayonnaise, cream, sugar, and salt




And add black peppercorn powder then whisk well

Keep mixing until everything is incorporated

First, put an apple with carrot chunks into the cream mixture and stir to mix well

Now put boiled peas and potatoes into the bowl

Keep mixing by adding baby corn and pineapple chunks with raisins to the bowl

Stir to combine well

  1. 2/3 cup, potatoes cubes  boiled
  2. ½  cup, carrot cubes boiled
  3. ½ cup, of peas 
  4. ½ cup, of mayonnaise 
  5. 4 tbsp, cream 
  6. 1 tbsp, caster sugar 
  7. ¼ tsp, Salt 
  8. ¼ tsp, black pepper powder 
  9. ½ cup, pineapple chunks 
  10. 1 cup, apple cubed 
  11. ½ cup, of baby corn, canned/boiled 
  12. 2/3 tbsp, raisins 
  13.  2/3 tbsp, walnuts 
How to make the Russian Salad?
  1. In a mixing bowl put mayonnaise, cream, sugar, and salt
  2. And add black peppercorn powder then whisk well
  3. Keep mixing until everything is incorporated
  4. First, put an apple with carrots chunks into the cream mixture
  5. And stir to mix well
  6. Note: I didn’t cook carrots just because I don’t like but you can cook carrots and peas for around 4-5 minutes
  7. Now put boiled peas and potatoes into the bowl
  8. Keep mixing by adding baby corn and pineapple chunks with raisins to the bowl
  9. Note, I didn’t add walnut due to not to available at home
  10. Stir to combine well, and refrigerate for an hour
  11. And serve chilled
