Homemade choco-bar ice cream is a very delicious ice-cream which are two flavors combination vanilla and chocolate, the recipe is basically vanilla milk cream solid with a thick chocolate coating, this is also the most common and popular recipe and hugely appreciated by all kinds of age groups but hugely popular with kids because of vanilla  and chocolate flavor offering


Ice cream recipes are always a popular one in Pakistan and especially during summer or humid season. some may prefer the scoop or slab ice cream in a cone or cup, but others prefer stick based ice cream like popsicles. choco bar recipe is one such stick based ice cream prepared mainly with creamy vanilla and chocolate sauce.

Choco bar is one of my favorite ice-cream ever, I remember my childhood days when I used to run after the ice-cream vendor to buy this😊 still I love to eat and that's what I was looking for a perfect recipe on the net of this choc bar.I searched many choc bar recipes but couldn’t understand the way of making

 

Whereas I was looking easy one recipe ultimately I decided to make in my style trust me it is much convenient when you follow your own method and style than others copy secondly you get the chance to rectify your mistakes and learn anyhow

 

Making a choco bar isn’t any rocket science to prepare the inner version or the vanilla flavored but the coating of chocolate sauce can be tricky but easy if you will properly follow my instruction step by step you get the same texture and result insha'Allah

I made simple vanilla popsicles and made a magic shell coating for it. Additionally, I added some almonds to make nutty choc bar

I prepared half with plain chocolate sauce and half is made with nutty choco bar by mixing crushed almonds, Whose method is given below with step by step photos

 

For the best result follow my detailed step by step photo instructions and tips

 

Recipe notes:

  1. I have used the popsicles moulds to prepare this choco-bar ice cream by freezing the ice cream first
  2. You can also use silicone ice cream moulds and place the ice-cream sticks as an alternate option
  3. You can dust the chocolate coating with dry fruits crush as well as this can also be done by mixing the crushed dry fruits directly to the chocolate sauce before the cream solid and dipped in it
  4. I have added vanilla extract to the milk cream
  5. But this can be easily extended to other flavors like mango, butterscotch, and coffee flavors

  1. Also, make sure to cool chocolate sauce slightly else ice cream might melt while dipping.
  2. additionally, use dark chocolate/milk chocolate depending on your choice.
  3. finally, choco bar ice cream tastes great when prepared with good quality chocolate.

In a large-size mixing bowl add chilled whipping cream, And start whipping the cream

Until soft peaks appear

Next, add condensed milk

And mix up well using a spatula

Then pour chilled milk into the whipped cream

Give a good stir to the cream make sure everything is combined well. Towards the end add vanilla essence to the ice-cream mixture

Further, mix and then transfer all mixture to the jug, And then pour into the Popsicle molds

Cover with the lid and freeze for 8-10 hours or till it sets completely

Chop the almonds set aside

Crush the chocolate

And put all crushed chocolate into the medium-size bowl. Next, add butter to the chocolate

Place the bowl onto the double boiler make sure the bowl doesn’t touch the water as chocolate may burn. Keep mixing till the mixture turns smooth and silky

Chocolate consistency should be according to the picture below

Transfer the chocolate syrup into a tall glass and allow cooling slightly

Take out the popsicles mold from the fridge leave it for 5 minutes on the slab, Then remove all ice-creams slowly from the Popsicle molds

Place on butter paper, And put it back to the freezer as the more your ice-cream will be frozen that much chocolate coating will dry quickly

Once they turn again into a frozen state, Take out one by one from the freezer and dip the ice cream into prepared chocolate sauce coating uniformly

The choc-bar ice cream will get set in your hands itself, however, you can also freeze for 30 minutes if serving later.

I added some chopped almonds into the chocolate sauce

Stir to mix up well

And dip the other one ice cream into the nutty chocolate sauce, Keep on holding for a minute and place on the plate, Place back all prepared choc bar ice cream in the freezer for 30-60 minutes or until well set

  1. 200g, whipping cream chilled
  2. 100ml, milk chilled
  3. 100ml, condensed milk
  4. 5-6 drops, vanilla extract

For the chocolate sauce:

  1. 350g, dark chocolate crushed
  2. 50g, butter
  3. A handful, crushed almonds
How to make a choco bar at home?

  1. In a large-size mixing bowl add chilled whipping cream
  2. And start whipping the cream until soft peaks appear
  3. Next, add condensed milk and mix up well using a spatula
  4. Then pour chilled milk into the whipped cream
  5. Give a good stir to the cream make sure everything is combined well
  6. Towards the end add vanilla essence to the ice-cream mixture
  7. Further, mix and then transfer all mixture to the jug
  8. And then pour into the Popsicle moulds
  9. Cover with the lid and freeze for 8-10 hours or till it sets completely
  10. Chop the almonds set aside
  11. Crush the chocolate and put all crushed chocolate into the medium-size bowl

  18. Take out the popsicles mold from the fridge leave it for 5 minutes on the slab
  19. Then remove all ice-creams slowly from the Popsicle moulds
  20. Place on butter paper
  21. And put it back to the freezer as the more your ice-cream will be frozen that much chocolate coating ll dry quickly
